Collected and processed manually rather than by machine, it takes time to collect, and moreover, collecting 1 kg of saffron requires harvesting more than 300,000 flowers by hand.
When it is raw, it is formed as soft red, orange or other colors, these threads are picked and then left for a period of time to dry and then marketed.

These types vary in price and different characteristics, such as denser colors, more efficient odors and larger sizes. Producers offer saffron on the market with varying classifications in order to distinguish between different types,

There are four original collections that are more common among saffron species: Naqin, Dasta, Abushal and Serkil.

Each of these species and varying classifications determine the specificity of the special part of the saffron plant found in this classification,Hence the name of the company or country of production.
But Abushal saffron is the best because this species has a very high coloring capacity among other types of saffron,

Abushal Saffron:
It is more yellowing compared to other saffron species such as saffron (Serkil), Red-colored stigmas accounts for a large proportion of this product, with only about 2 to 3 millimetres of plant branches.  Compared to other saffron species such as saffron dust, this product also has a higher coloring capacity due to the presence of plant masques. Buyers also have great confidence in this product because it is made up of a certain amount of plant branches and      Stigmas .This product has different grades from one to four.

Serkil Saffron :
Serkil Saffron  is the most common type of saffron, and most buyers know this type of saffron more than others. There is no trace of this species of the yellow section of this plant or its roots, these parts are cut. In some places, Serkil Saffron is known by other names such as All-Red.

Dasta Saffron :
This species is classified as dependent on the small yellow part of the plant. This product is known as the most authentic of other saffron species, because saffron hair is complete in this product, all of which are dried together. In order to arrange this mixture, they place saffron parts in a single or binary form as well, and then damage a tie by thread. The yellow section is approximately 3 to 5 millimetres or 25 to 30% of this product.
